What will you be doing?
You will be working for a large, national, logistics organization that deals with the handling of container transshipment via inland shipping in the port of Amsterdam. This client has over 100,000 m2 of warehouses for logistics at various locations within the North Sea Canal area. From Amsterdam, various cargoes and products are transported to terminals in places like Harlingen and Beverwijk.

As a forklift driver, you will be part of a team of approximately 10 colleagues. You will follow the instructions of your Team Lead and work closely with your direct colleagues. Your working day will be different every day because you work both indoors and outdoors and interact with various parties.

• Delivering special cargoes and containers and placing incoming goods in the right location using a forklift.
• Performing light administrative tasks using a tablet or written documents, such as checking freight documents.
• Ensuring a tidy and clean work environment that enables efficient work.

What do we expect from you?

• Holding a forklift certificate or willing to obtain one.
• Holding a VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct) or being able to apply for one.
• Having your own transportation (scooter, bicycle, car) as the workplace is not accessible by public transport.

Additionally, it is beneficial for the team if you have a proactive attitude since you will work independently as a forklift driver and need to interact with various parties.

What do we offer you?

• Salary between €2400,- and €2700,- per month, based on a 40-hour workweek, depending on knowledge and experience.
